Safety First, Every Time
Full safety briefings will be given to users before any activities take place with all necessary safety equipment provided. All staff are trained in first aid, safeguarding, recovering users and their equipment. Staff have VHF radios to call for immediate assistance in the event of emergencies.
AALA Licenced
This means we can now take under 18s out on the water without parents being present. Parents can drop children off for pre-booked sessions with us, and we can also take school and youth groups out on the water. The Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) is the licensing authority for outdoor activity centres for young people in Great Britain.
Do you have your own paddle board for you & your children to use? Do you want more information on how to get the most out of it in a safe way? Take a look at our parents page for more information.
Our Location
Milford Haven Estuary is the second deepest natural harbour in the world after Sydney harbour in Australia which has made it perfect for naval fleets such as admiral Lord Nelsons, fishing fleets including Whalers from Nantucket, Massachusetts who were brought over to establish commercial fishing from the haven, and more recently large tankers carrying crude oil to the refineries since the 1960’s to today’s Super Tankers carrying Liquified Natural Gas to the 2 LNG terminals. Previous to all of this Milford Haven was frequented by Viking settlers with the name Milford supposedly coming from the viking term ‘Mill Fjord’ and one of the towns districts, Hubberston being named after the viking King Ubbe. With such a varied history Milford Haven waterway with the fantastic facilities at Milford Marina in particular is fast becoming a destination in Pembrokeshire that people are coming to so they can experience the clash of history, culture, nature, industry and leisure all in one place!
